I had a great time staying at this hotel. The rooms were small but clean, and I found them very comfortable. The service was outstanding, from the doorman Jeff to the desk staff and everyone working there. The location was perfect, just a block from King Street shopping and the straw market. The dining experience was okay, but I was a bit disappointed with the limited options. Overall, a pleasant stay with friendly staff and a convenient location.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of good and not-so-good aspects. The rooms, while small, had a quaint charm to them, and having a garage connected to the hotel was convenient, even if the $20 daily fee was a downside. Being on the 2nd floor meant being above a wedding celebration, which added a unique touch to the experience. I believe the room rate was only acceptable because it's a 5-star hotel; otherwise, it might have fallen short. However, the location across the hall from room 306 was convenient for me.

The rooms were small but quaint. Having a garage connected to the hotel for $20 extra a day was a plus. Being on the 2nd floor, above a wedding celebration, added a unique touch to the stay.
Service
6.0
The service was a mix of experiences. While some staff members were very friendly and helpful, there were instances of rudeness, especially upon our arrival, which was unexpected for a place that had prior knowledge of our honeymoon visit. Despite this, the friendly and welcoming employees made up for the shortcomings.
Location
8.0
The location was ideal for exploring the city without needing a car for three whole days. It was within walking distance of everything downtown, including good restaurants, making it convenient to enjoy the area without additional transportation needs.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience had its ups and downs. While the breakfast was wonderful and relaxing, the offering felt lacking for such a premium hotel. Missing items like cappuccinos, croissants, or proper bread were a disappointment. Nonetheless, the southern breakfast options in the Planter's Suite were delicious.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel facilities were satisfactory, although nothing exceptional stood out during my stay.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were very large and perfect for our needs, but they could use refreshing. The decor and outdoor pool area were nice, along with the restaurant and indoor areas, all for under $150.

Service
7.0
The service was wonderful and held the highest standard of Southern Hospitality, but there was an issue with the valet parking where I had to handle some things on my own. It cost an additional $40 per day with no in/out privileges.
Location
9.0
The location was perfect, enabling us to walk to almost all the historic attractions we wanted to see in Charleston without needing to drive. It was also close to the market.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was not good, especially when the room was not ready at check-in time. I dined at Poogans Porch and the Barbadoes Room but did not have a memorable experience. The bread toasts were subpar.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were average, nothing exceptional noted.
